We have a special treat for you all this week. Our newest featured iGirl Next Door is the lovely Jessica Caban. She’s a talented and beautiful Actress/Model that has worked with the likes of Jennifer Lopez. She’s been featured in everything from magazines to TV and has even won Best Actress awards for her first ever lead role. I have no doubt in my mind that we’ll all be seeing Jessica in print and on the big screen for many years to come. She was kind enough to answer a few questions for iGirls and it’s readers which you can see below along with some amazing new photos shot exclusively for us.

Hi Jessica, thank you for taking time to do this interview for iGirls.com and its readers.

JC: Hi Ryan, iGirls.com and its lovely readers. Thank you for having me.

Please tell us a bit about yourself and how you became a model / actress.
JC: My name is Jessica Marie Caban. I was born June 13th 1982. I am an Actress/Model of Puerto Rican decent. I come from really humble beginnings but my amazing parents always told me I can be anything I want. Luckily I believed them. Life has been a struggle but I think it gave me the tough skin needed for this industry. I knew I wanted to act since Jr High, I got the role in a school play and had never felt such a natural high like being on stage in front of my peers. My parents tried to get me into acting/modeling but a few people tried to scam them and so they were turned off. I waited until after High School to chase my dreams. I remember being away in college my first year thinking with my whole heart that I was meant for something else. I haven’t looked back ever since. Got my first big break when I auditioned for JLo’s Nationwide Model Search for her clothing line. I was named runner up. After that I did a few music videos, hosting and background gigs. It’s been a long and difficult road but am glad I never gave up.

What was it like winning the Best Actress award at the 2010 BIFF and HIFF for your first ever lead role in “Are You For Great Sex?”?
JC: Overall shocking, It was like being told all of your life’s decisions and hard work were not for granted. In those moments I felt “I am right where I belong.” What an honor to be recognized let alone for what I saw as my introductory to the acting world. I now feel anything is possible.

A typical day as Jessica Caban consists of?
JC: On a typical day If I’m not booked on a modeling/acting job or traveling I am auditioning. When I wake up I go right into office mode on my Mac, responding to emails or looking over pictures that need to be approved and looking for my next opportunity. Then I’m off to meetings and castings. If I feel like that wasn’t enough running around I hit the gym. Most nights I am either working from home, in bed, at a dinner meeting or attending an event. Just depends.

What has been your greatest accomplishment?
JC: I have two greatest accomplishments. One would be winning season 1 of SiTv’s “Model Latina.” The title means a lot to me and being a part of a network that empowers Latino’s is inspiring. The Other would be winning Best Actress at BIFF and HIFF. Being considered a working/talented actress is a dream come true.

If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?
JC: I would want to have a healing power. My grandmother has Alzheimer’s disease. I want her to see me accomplish all of my dreams and know who I am. I would heal her first then the world.

What is your best asset/feature on your body and why?
JC: My hair. Does that count?? I land some pretty amazing gigs because of it.

What is your favorite inanimate object and why?
JC: That’s easy, cookies & cream ice cream. It turns any one of my tough days right around.

Craziest thing you’ve ever done to get a guy’s attention?
JC: Ha, I’m really not the type to try and get a guys attention. However, I do have one story that I will share. I recently asked a guy if he would like a piece of gum as I ever so slowly indulged on one myself. I know I’m such a daredevil.

What’s your favorite asset/feature on a guy’s body?
JC: His chest. I’m a sucker for a strong chest to fall asleep on.

Do you have any new projects going on right now or in the near future that you would like to share with your fans?
JC: Yes. I’m actually about to lock down my next film. This one is going to be huge, I’m so excited. I also have two ad campaigns coming out for Pantene and Johnnie Walker. You will be able to see me on SteveMadden.com modeling and I had a shoot for a huge jean company but am going to keep that a secret for now. I am currently auditioning for a few major sitcoms.
